The winery is more than a building used for processing grapes. It, like our vineyard, embodies the RdV approach through a seamless blend of tradition and progress. The interior showcases a minimalist aesthetic and state of the art equipment, while the exterior, with its rough-hewn siding and towering silo, gives a nod to the area’s agricultural roots. The building is meant to be simultaneously innovative and unobtrusive, as it sits quietly within the rolling Virginia farmland.
A great deal of thought went into every part of the facility, from the light-filled hospitality wing, to the massive fermentation room, to the hushed caves where the wines are stored. We like to think that we’ve created a place that is functional, yet beautiful; that allows us to do our jobs every day while affirming our winemaking philosophy.
